Alongside the lagers/ciders/etc, ale choices have been varied. Ranging from bland and weak to occasional offerings with more character.
More importantly, it is featured in a Inspector Morse episode. We love Morse and following our tour of locations in Oxford, we were very excited to end our own walk, taking in Brocket Hall and the surrounding fields, with dinner in the Crooked Chimney.
Overall, it offers an average pub menu at average value. Nothing special.
